The situation we are facing with Coronavirus/COVID-19 is constantly changing. All of us at Masters & Son want to reassure you that we are taking all necessary measures to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community. Please be assured that we are following the best practice advice for supporting funeral arrangements at this time. We have put in place measures to ensure that our clients are kept as safe as possible. If you need to arrange a funeral please get in touch with us to consider the best way forward for your circumstances. We are here to guide, support and care for you. (Continued below).
For those people in our care, we will continue to look after everyone in a kind, respectful and sensitive way, but have put procedures in place to ensure we can do this safely. We are able to discuss arrangements and complete the required administration remotely via telephone, email, Skype and postal delivery. We would be grateful if during this time you could telephone us to make an appointment if you are coming to visit us. We will endeavour to be available at our premises in Lindfield but may have other commitments or restrictions in place. In order to prevent further spread of the virus we are taking the utmost precautions with our staff whose roles bring them into contact with the families we are caring for.
Different options for funerals will need to be be considered during this time. Live streaming or recording of funerals may be available at local crematoriums for people who will not be able to attend the service. It may be possible to have services outside with a small number attending either in a garden or as a graveside service.
Masters and Son also offer a simple direct cremation or burial. This is when a person is cremated or buried without a funeral service and with no mourners in attendance. If appropriate families can create their own celebration of life or memorial service at a later date.
